Is it permissible to say that Islam is harsh in its rulings?
It is not permissible to object to the rulings of Islam, for they are the rulings of Allah, Who is All-Knowing of the welfare of His servants. One must be content with Islam as a religion and submit to its rulings, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, saying: "But no, by your Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept them with full submission," and the Hadith: "He has tasted the sweetness of faith who is content with Allah as Lord, and with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad as a Prophet and Messenger."
