Is it permissible to resume I'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan after it has been interrupted by intercourse with one's wife?

It is permissible for you to perform I'tikaf (spiritual retreat) a second time in the last ten days of the same month; in fact, it is recommended, and it is more emphasized during the last ten days of Ramadan. There is nothing against you as long as you did not vow to perform continuous I'tikaf. Intercourse only invalidates the continuity of I'tikaf, according to the Almighty's saying: ﴿And do not have sexual relations with them while you are in I'tikaf in the mosques﴾ [Quran 2:187]. Your going home without a need also invalidates the I'tikaf.
