What is the benefit of having many children given the spread of diseases and the poverty of the spouses?

The benefit of having many children is to increase the Prophet's (peace be upon him) nation and to fulfill the instinct of loving offspring. Dr. Muhammad Al-Sabbagh believes that procreation represents an extension of the benevolence initiated by parents. Allah Almighty has blessed His servants by multiplying them from a small number, and having many offspring is considered one of the reasons for the prosperity of the universe and the strength of the nation. There is no necessary correlation between a large number of descendants and an increase in diseases or poverty; rather, the opposite is often true, as a workforce is one of the most important pillars for building national economies. Poverty and illness are often due to violating the law of Allah, whereas abundance, combined with faith and piety, brings goodness and blessings. Allah has forbidden the killing of children for fear of poverty, emphasizing that He is the Provider.
