Is the hadith narrated by the Bedouin about his conversation with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, in which he says concerning Allah, the Almighty: "If He asks me, I will surely ask Him: if He asks me about my sins, I will ask Him about His forgiveness," authentic?

The aforementioned hadith is a fabrication attributed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it bears signs of being forged and poorly constructed, making it impossible for it to be authentic. Al-Ghazali included a similar spurious hadith in content in "Ihya' 'Ulum al-Din" (Revival of the Religious Sciences), about which it was said, "I have found no basis for it." Nevertheless, there are many Quranic texts and authentic hadiths that demonstrate the vastness of Allah's mercy and forgiveness, such as His saying, "And indeed, I am the Forgiving to him who repents, believes, and does righteousness, and then continues in guidance" (20:82), and His saying, "And He is the One who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins" (42:25). And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Indeed, Allah wrote a book before He created creation: 'My mercy has preceded My wrath.'"
