Is it obligatory for a fasting person to close his mouth when pouring water on his head or using the shower during ghusl?

It is permissible for a fasting person to wake up in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) and perform ghusl (ritual bath), and it is also permissible for him to perform ghusl for reasons other than janabah. He is required to rinse his nose and mouth without exaggeration, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "And exaggerate in rinsing the nose, unless you are fasting." A fasting person is not obliged to close his mouth during ghusl, as the entry of water into his mouth does not invalidate the fast unless it reaches the throat. He is not burdened with keeping his mouth closed when there is dust or sifting, and this ruling applies to ghusl.
