Is a husband's hatred for his wife's family and his prevention of her from fulfilling her duties towards them, especially when her family needs her in a foreign country, considered behavior that angers Allah, and can a believing husband change his approach if he knows this?

Among the noble characteristics of a husband is his honoring of his wife's family, as this is a part of his honoring of his wife. And if there is any shortcoming on their part, forgiveness and forbearance should be shown. Furthermore, mutual understanding must prevail between the spouses, and each should be a helper to the other in being kind to their families, especially the parents. The wife should know that her husband's right takes precedence over the right of her parents, and she must obey him in what is good, so she should not leave the house except with his permission.
