Is it permissible to accompany someone who curses while avoiding cursing oneself, and how can one decline their invitation to go out without lying, and is it permissible to lie if there is an extreme necessity to avoid going out?

Forbidden cursing is a reprehensible act with multiple forms, and it is often considered one of the major sins. A believer should not associate with someone known for it, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the perfume seller and the blacksmith..." and his saying: "A person is on the religion of his intimate friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends." Stay away from those with bad character, treat them kindly, advise them as much as you can, and use allusions and veiled hints that are sufficient alternatives to lying.
