It is permissible to make a vow for an act of devotion to Allah, but initiating a vow is disliked (makrooh). If a Muslim makes a vow, it becomes obligatory for him to fulfill it, unless the vow involves an act of disobedience. Therefore, the one hundred rak'ahs must be prayed two by two. It is not permissible to make a vow for something that is not an act of devotion.
