What your manager has ordered you to do—informing the engineering office about the tender before its release and altering the comparisons so that the office wins the tender—is deception and a betrayal of trust. It is impermissible to do it or to cooperate in it, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. If you are unable to report the betrayal due to potential harm and lack of evidence, then avoid directly engaging in the forbidden act. Perform the work assigned to you as required, and the sin of the officials rests upon them, not upon you.
