If the lochial bleeding stops for a month, then any blood that appears thereafter is considered menstrual blood, and prayer and fasting are not permissible with it, regardless of its lightness or difference from the previous bleeding. This aligns with the Maliki jurisprudence, which considers blood appearing after a cessation of half a month to be menstruation. It is a condition that the miscarriage has established the ruling of nifas (postpartum bleeding).
