What is the ruling on bank certificates with prizes, and is zakat obligatory on the prize if it is received at the time of zakat?

It has been previously clarified that dealing with bank certificates is forbidden, and that the return from them, whether it be interest or a prize, is unlawful (haram). These interests and prizes must be disposed of by spending them on charitable causes and for the benefit of Muslims. They are not subject to Zakat, because Zakat is obligatory on lawful wealth, and these are unlawful funds that must be disposed of in the aforementioned ways.
