How can a woman overcome her feelings of loss, shame, and despair after deviating from religious commitment, and how can she return to the path of repentance and trust in God after committing sins, especially with the feeling that her life has stopped and no one is proposing to her?

It is obligatory to hasten to repent to Allah Almighty by abandoning the sin, regretting having committed it, and resolving not to return to it, while concealing oneself and not openly declaring the sin. Among the signs of sincere repentance is to avoid the causes of disobedience and to cut off the paths leading to it.

One must beware of Shaytan's despair and his instilling of despondency and shame from supplicating, or an inability to repent. For Allah Almighty accepts repentance no matter how great the sin. Allah Almighty says: (Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.")

Allah loves those who repent and rejoices in their repentance, and He replaces their evil deeds with good deeds. Repentance erases sin. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." There is no fear of punishment as long as the repentance is sincere. Therefore, one must strengthen their connection with Allah and maintain the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and supplication (dua').
