Is it permissible for a husband to sleep in a separate room from his wife because their daughter wakes up for breastfeeding, and is he allowed to make his wife choose between him and their daughter?

It is better for the husband to sleep with his wife in her bed unless he has an excuse. However, this is not obligatory upon him as long as he fulfills her right to fair division [of nights, if he has more than one wife] and sexual intercourse. Imam An-Nawawi said: "It is better for a husband and wife to be together in one bed, unless one of them has an excuse for being alone, and this is evident from the actions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." Therefore, it is permissible for your husband to sleep in another room as long as he does not neglect your rights and is bothered by the baby sleeping with you. The foundation of the relationship between spouses is love, mercy, understanding, overlooking minor faults, and each considering the circumstances of the other.
