A Muslim should not kiss money or other worldly possessions, as this involves the glorification of matter and diminishes the Muslim's standing. A Muslim is too noble to venerate anything other than Allah and His sacred symbols. Some scholars have explicitly stated the dislike of kissing a person's hand, so what then of an inanimate object? As for acquiring money through lawful means, it is a blessing that necessitates gratitude by spending it in obedience to Allah and praising Him. The gratitude for a blessing is not expressed by kissing it.
