Is helping a well-off father more deserving than helping a husband with a low income cover household expenses?

If the father is well-off, then his children are not obligated to give him any of their money. If the husband is in need of money, then he is more deserving of charity. However, showing filial piety to the father, being kind to him, and offering apologies to him gently and respectfully remain an obligation and a great right.
