Is the prostration of thankfulness (sujud al-shukr) for reaching Ramadan an innovation (bid'ah)?

It is legislated for a Muslim to perform a prostration of gratitude (sujud al-shukr) to Allah upon the renewal of blessings or the warding off of misfortunes, whether that be specific to them or general, based on the actions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions. The prostration of gratitude is for a renewed blessing, not a continuous one, because Allah's blessings are constant, and if one were to prostrate for every continuous blessing, the prostration would be continuous. Therefore, the prostration of gratitude upon reaching Ramadan is not legislated, because it is a continuous blessing, and there is no narration from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or the righteous predecessors indicating its performance. Hence, the prostration of gratitude upon reaching Ramadan is closer to an innovation (bid'ah).
