Is it obligatory to seek permission to take something when I know its owner would not object?

It is permissible to take the property of another, whether cash, food, or other things, present or absent, if the owner's consent is known, even by a strong indication, according to the hadith: "The property of a Muslim person is not lawful except with his willing consent." So, if you know the owner's willing consent through words or an indication, it is permissible to take it without his knowledge. However, if there is doubt, it is not permissible to take it, and the predominance of opinion is like certainty in this regard.
