How can a woman genuinely repent and adhere to acts of obedience, while her family's actions cause her to relapse into some sins, such as swearing and raising her voice, despite her attempts to please and obey her father?

You must honor your parents and be kind to them, addressing them with politeness, gentleness, humility, and reverence, for Allah the Almighty says: "So do not say to them, 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they nurtured me when I was small.'"

You must repent to Allah for any instances of reviling them or raising your voice at them, by cutting off the sin, regretting the act, resolving not to return to it, and seeking their forgiveness. Sincere repentance is accepted, even if sins are repeated, for Allah the Almighty says: "Indeed, Allah loves those who repent."

Strive against your lower self to obey, and do not wait for your self's approval to do good. Rather, compel it to good and seek Allah's help for patience and good character towards them. Good character is acquired through habit and practice, as Abu Darda said: "Knowledge is by learning, and forbearance is by striving for forbearance. And whoever seeks good will be given it, and whoever guards against evil will be guarded from it."
