How can Allah's saying, "And he inherits her if she has no child," which restricts the deceased woman's inheritance to her brother, be reconciled with Allah's saying, "And if they be brethren, men and women, then for the male will be the like of the portion of two females," which is directed to "a man who dies leaving no child"? And does the word "man" [امرؤ] include both men and women, or only men?
The Almighty's saying: (If a man dies) in the verse of Kalalah includes both male and female, for Kalalah is one who dies without offspring or parents.
If a man dies Kalalah and has a full sister or a sister from the father's side, she inherits half of the estate. Her brother inherits all her wealth if she dies Kalalah.
If he has two sisters, they inherit two-thirds. If brothers and sisters (not from the mother's side) are present together, then the male gets the share of two females.
His saying, the Almighty, about a brother's inheritance from his sister: (And he inherits from her if she has no child) is understood to apply when there are no sisters. However, if there are sisters, then (And if there are brothers and sisters, male and female, the male shall have the share of two females) is applied.
