How does the sorcerer or Jinn know what is on my mind, and what is the legal punishment for the sorcerer?

The Unseen is known only to Allah, and no human or jinn can know what goes on in a person's mind. The sorcerer or soothsayer may know some past events by subjugating the jinn and questioning the Qareen (jinn companion). The satanic Qareen of a human knows much about them and informs the satanic jinn. Furthermore, the sorcerer may know some unseen matters through jinn who eavesdrop. The cure for sorcery is to turn to Allah and supplicate, and through Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism) according to the Sharia, either by performing Ruqyah on oneself or by seeking help from a sheikh known for piety and righteousness.
