Does the obsessive-compulsive disorder that the questioner has suffered from since she was ten years old, and which makes her doubt whether she is a Muslim, affect her Islam?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a disease that affects individuals in various ways. It can make a person doubt their faith or acts of worship, and confuse their affairs. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, one of us finds in his soul—he alluded to something—that it would be better for him to be burnt to charcoal than to speak of it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Praise be to Allah Who confined his plot to whispers." Your doubt in your faith is the ultimate goal of Satan to divert you from your worship. And what you experience in repelling those whispers is faith itself. Sheikh Al-Shinqiti said: "And that by which Satan whispers / And the heart, O my father, is faith. So do not argue with the accursed one / For it only increases his empowerment." To overcome whispers, one must sincerely seek refuge in Allah through supplication (du'a) and remembrance (dhikr) so that the heart may find peace. Allah Almighty said: "Is not He [best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil?" {An-Naml: 62}. And Allah Almighty said: "Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured." {Ar-Ra'd: 28}.
