Is refraining from demanding a delayed salary from a government entity, after experiencing embarrassment and exhaustion, while relying on God, considered a blameworthy lack of effort? And will the one who refrains be rewarded by God if he is not given his due?

Whether to continue demanding rights or to cease doing so depends on the availability of effective means to achieve that, while employing legitimate measures and weighing the benefits and harms resulting from each decision. Proper reliance on God (tawakkul) is accompanied by taking all necessary means. If the non-receipt of salary is due to procrastination, then the aggrieved person is wronged and can hope for compensation from Allah in this world and the Hereafter.
