How should people of other religions be treated according to the command of Allah and His Messenger?

Islam has laid down foundations for how a Muslim should interact with non-belligerent followers of other religions, including:

1. No Alliance or Affection: "Take not My enemies and your enemies as allies." This includes not participating in their festivals, congratulating them on them, or imitating them, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." 2. Kindness and Justice: As long as they are peaceful, Allah Almighty said: "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." 3. Permissibility of Civil Dealings: Such as buying, selling, lending, and pawning. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away while his shield was mortgaged with a Jew.
