How can one deal with a wife's love for someone other than her husband?

It is not permissible to become attached to a non-mahram man or to look at him with lust, especially for a married woman. It is obligatory to sever every means that leads to his love taking root in the heart, and to strive against the self to get rid of this feeling before it escalates to passionate love. If it reaches passionate love, its cure is to make oneself despair of him, remember the consequences of such love, recall the beloved's flaws, and frequently supplicate and seek refuge in Allah. It should also be noted that the phrase "the difficult destiny" is inappropriate, as destiny is not attributed with actions; the true Doer is Allah the Almighty.
