Was the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) a Kurd, born in Iraqi Kurdistan, who married a Kurdish woman and had children with her? And why have historians neglected to mention his Kurdish lineage, as was the case with Saladin al-Ayyubi?

It has not been mentioned in history books that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was Kurdish. Rather, the maker of the catapult with which he was thrown, and a man who said, "Burn him and support your gods," were both Kurdish. Ibrahim was born in Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans. As for his children, thirteen male children were mentioned for him, and no daughters were mentioned. Saladin Al-Ayyubi is a famous Kurd and was one of the greatest kings of Islam; historians have praised him extensively.
