Is completing university education and obtaining a university degree among the things predestined for a person, or is it among the things over which they have a choice?

Everything that occurs in the universe is by the decree of Allah the Almighty, and the servant is commanded to take the necessary means to achieve benefits and avert harms. If a means to complete your education becomes available, then take it. Otherwise, be patient with the judgment of Allah. The command to be patient and the prohibition against despair are well-known; for a person is between two matters: a matter he is commanded to do, so he must do it and not fail; and a matter that afflicts him without his doing, so he must be patient with it and not despair from it. So, for what you have the power to do, do not fail to do it, and for what you have no power over, do not despair from it.
