How is the remaining wealth from the deceased father's estate to be divided, given the daughters' dissatisfaction with the father's gifts to the sons before his death, which designated an apartment for each son, while the daughters and mother shared one apartment, in addition to a shop and a car for the sons?

If the father dies, his estate is divided among all his heirs, each according to their legal share, unless some waive their share in favor of another heir. However, whatever the father divided among his children during his lifetime, and he died before revoking it, then it is binding, even if he had not been equitable in it. The gift is established for the recipient, and the remaining heirs do not have the right to revoke it. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah is of the view that it is not permissible for the child who was favored by his father with a gift to take the excess; rather, he must return it during the father's lifetime and after his death.
