Is sacrificing an 'Aqiqah for a woman suffering from "Al-Qarinah" (Umm Al-Sibyan) beneficial in repelling it?

First, "Umm al-Sibyan" (Mother of Children) or "al-Qarinah" (the Female Companion) are nothing but popular superstitions with no basis. Miscarriage may be due to sorcery, not to a female jinn-follower.

Second, to protect the fetus, ruqyah (exorcism) using the Quran and legitimate supplications should be employed as a prophylactic and a cure, without resorting to amulets and talismans, which are forbidden by Islamic law.

Third, the hadith about saying the adhan and iqamah in the newborn's ear for protection against "Umm al-Sibyan" is a fabricated hadith that cannot be used as evidence.

Fourth, there is no need for slaughtering or anything else to ward off the illusion of "Umm al-Sibyan"; rather, one must learn the correct creed, abandon superstitions, and fortify oneself with the remembrance of Allah Almighty, while the aqiqah (sacrifice for a newborn) is a beneficial sunnah for the child.
