Is it obligatory for someone who worked for wages carrying alcohol, and repented, and spent it on personal needs out of ignorance, to donate from their lawful money as compensation for it?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to hire himself out to carry alcohol for consumption, and he is not entitled to any payment for it, because it is a forbidden benefit that cannot be exchanged for compensation. If he does so, knowing it is forbidden, he must donate the earnings to the poor.
