Was the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) long and braided? And is Dhuha prayer an expiation for the morning's idle talk, and counting Tasbih on the fingers an expiation for it?
The Duha prayer suffices for the obligatory charities due for all the body's joints, including the vertebrae of the back and the fingers. This is based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Upon every joint of one of you there is a charity due every morning. Every 'SubhanAllah' (Glory be to Allah) is a charity, every 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah) is a charity, every 'La ilaha illa Allah' (There is no god but Allah) is a charity, every 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) is a charity, enjoining good is a charity, and forbidding evil is a charity. And two rak'ahs performed in Duha prayer suffice for all of that." As for counting tasbeeh on the fingers, it is not established that this atones for them; rather, it is established that using them is for knowing the number of remembrances.
