What is the ruling on displaying oneself immodestly (tabarruj) under the pretext of keeping pace with modern times, and is the mother responsible for her daughters' immodest display?

The ruling on tabarruj (improper display of adornment) and its harms have been previously explained. The claim of keeping up with modern times through tabarruj is false, because tabarruj has brought humanity nothing but corruption, rape, mixing of lineages, destruction of homes, and the spread of indecency and diseases. The mother is responsible for raising her children, especially her daughters, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Each of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock... and a woman is a guardian in her husband's home and is responsible for her flock." A woman's guardianship means managing the affairs of the home, children, and servants, and offering advice to her husband. Therefore, the mother must be diligent in fulfilling this trust, and for her, there is a great reward in that.
