Tarawih prayer is a recommended supererogatory prayer. It begins after the 'Isha prayer and ends with the rise of dawn. It is performed in sets of two rak'ahs. It is best to pray eleven rak'ahs, though there is no harm in increasing this number. It can be performed by reciting whatever is easy from the Quran, though it is best to complete the entire Quran during it. This method applies equally to men and women.
