The answer

Tarawih prayer is a confirmed Sunnah. It is better for women to pray it in their homes because it is more concealing for them, and the more hidden and private the place of prayer, the better. Nevertheless, this does not prevent them from being permitted to go to the mosque, provided they adhere to full hijab, do not wear perfume, have their husband's permission, and that their going out does not involve any forbidden act. If a woman violates these conditions, her husband or guardian has the right to prevent her. The hadiths regarding the superiority of a woman's prayer in her home are general and include Tarawih and other prayers.
