Is it obligatory to wash the male organ with a specific intention after the emission of pre-seminal fluid (madhy), or is it sufficient for water to cover it during the recommended ritual bath (ghusl)?

Scholars have differed regarding pre-seminal fluid (madhy): whether it necessitates washing the entire male organ or only the affected area. The well-known position of the Hanbali school is that it is obligatory to wash the male organ and the testicles, whereas the majority of scholars are of the opinion that it suffices to wash only the affected area. This latter view is the more preponderant. According to the majority of scholars, intention is not obligatory when purifying from pre-seminal fluid, because intention is not a condition for removing impurity.
