How can the relationship between a father and his son be brought closer, given that their relationship was damaged due to the father's preference for a Yemeni worker, and what are the ways to ascertain the presence of sorcery (sihr) for this, and how to deal with it?

Accusing someone of sorcery is a grave sin. There is no way to know if a person is bewitched, nor is there a way to reconcile people. It is advised to strive for reconciliation among people, in accordance with His, the Almighty’s, saying: "The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make reconciliation between your two brothers," and "So fear Allah and amend that which is at variance among you." It is also advised to urge the father and his son towards good deeds, which endear people, whereas sins cause enmity. The ruqyah (incantation) for a Muslim and their protection from evil are prescribed, and emphasis must be placed on honoring one’s parents and striving for their satisfaction.
