Is a wife considered disobedient for not agreeing to travel to her home country and leave her husband alone in a European country? Does she have the right to request a divorce due to harm, especially given that the husband abandons the marital bed, rarely prays, cursed her parents, and stated his lack of desire for her?
If a husband wishes to relocate his wife to her home country, she must obey him, provided he secures suitable and safe housing. It is her right that he not be absent from her for more than six months without an excuse. However, if he abandons her without cause or curses her father, she is permitted to seek divorce from him. In the event of his negligence in prayer and his engaging in illicit relationships, it is recommended for her to seek divorce from him, if not obligatory. We advise the wife to strive to reform her husband and assist him in repentance and rectitude. If he repents and lives with her in kindness, that is better; otherwise, divorce is the last resort.
