Is it recommended or disliked to name children after a deceased father? Did the righteous do so? And does the wife have the right to object to that?

It is legislated to name a newborn after the father, following the example of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who named his son Ibrahim after his father. And as Al-Hussain bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them both, did when he named his son Ali after his father Ali bin Abi Talib. Naming the newborn is the father's right alone, and the wife does not have the right to object to it. If the parents dispute over the naming, the father has more right to it.
