What is the ruling on naming a newborn "Al-Khalil," and is there any Shar'i (Islamic legal) prohibition in it, given that Al-Khalil is Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Abraham (peace be upon him)?

It is permissible to be named "al-Khalil" (the friend), there is no harm in it, as long as it is not added to Allah, so one should not say "Khalilullah" (the Friend of Allah) or "Khalil al-Rahman" (the Friend of the Most Merciful). Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of being named after prophets, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, named his son Ibrahim (Abraham). Al-Munawi clarified that naming his son Ibrahim indicates the permissibility of being named after prophets.
