Is writing two specific verses on a piece of paper and putting it in one's pocket to seek victory from God similar to hanging up a forbidden amulet?

The action mentioned falls under the category of hanging amulets made from the Qur’an. There is a scholarly difference of opinion regarding the ruling on amulets if they are from the Qur’an, and the preponderant view is that it is prohibited. The Sunnah (definition) has provided incantations and supplications to be recited for victory, when fearing an enemy, and during distress. It is also permissible to recite the noble verse: ﴿وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ﴾ [And We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them and covered them, so they do not see] in appropriate contexts, as it was reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recited it during the Hijra when the polytheists surrounded him. As for merely writing down a verse and keeping it or hanging it, we are unaware of any religious text that permits this.
