Must a husband make up the days he missed in Ramadan because he took Tramadol as a painkiller, or is it sufficient for him to pay money as fidyah?

If the husband stops taking the drug, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, he is obliged to strive against his lower self and repent from its use. As for his breaking the fast, we hope he incurs no sin, for he is in the position of a sick person for whom breaking the fast is permissible. He must make up the days he missed and cannot compensate for them by feeding the poor.
