How much money is due for feeding the needy for five days of Ramadan fasting that the questioner missed ten years ago, knowing that her husband is unwilling to pay the amount on her behalf?

Whoever delays making up for missed Ramadan fasts without a valid excuse until another Ramadan begins, must fast the current Ramadan, then make up the previous fasts. In addition, they must pay a fidyah (expiation) for each day they delayed making up, contrary to those who say no fidyah is due. However, if the delay in fasting was due to a valid excuse, then only making up the fasts is required, and no fidyah is due. This is the view of the four Imams. If the delay was without a valid excuse, then the fidyah is required along with making up the fasts. If the years accumulate, the fidyah does not increase. The fidyah is a mudd of wheat or half a sa' of other grains.
