Is it permissible to sacrifice more than two animals?

The Udhiyah (sacrifice) is a confirmed Sunnah or obligatory, with a difference of opinion among jurists. One sheep suffices for a man and his household, no matter how numerous they are. The Udhiyah in their case is considered a Sunnah of sufficiency. If one slaughters more than one, there is no harm, as long as it is not out of boastfulness. Contenting oneself with one is better and more preferable, because it is the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and adhering to the Sunnah is better than performing many deeds.
