ما معنى اسم الله عز وجل المصور؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah is the Fashioner (Al-Musawwir). He created everything as He willed, and it is He who fashioned all beings, giving each one a distinct form and shape without any pre-existing example to follow. If He wills a thing, He merely says to it, "Be," and it is, with the quality He chooses. Some have differentiated between Al-Khaliq (the Creator), Al-Bari' (the Originator), and Al-Musawwir (the Fashioner) as follows:

Al-Khaliq (the Creator): Brings into existence from non-existence and determines the attributes. Al-Bari' (the Originator): Specifically pertains to the creation of humans from dust. Al-Musawwir (the Fashioner): Specifically pertains to the creation of different forms.

Thus, Al-Khaliq is general, Al-Bari' is more specific, and Al-Musawwir is even more specific.
