What is the ruling on preventing one's son from performing the Tarawih prayer under the pretext that he does not observe the five daily prayers?

It was incumbent upon the father to command his son to preserve the obligatory prayers, and not to describe him as one who takes the verses of Allah in jest due to his desire to attend Tarawih prayers. This is because boys are not to be addressed with such language. The correct approach is for him to command him to perform the obligatory prayer, and to rejoice at his love for Tarawih prayer, further encouraging him in it.
