Did Allah speak with all the variant readings that have been transmitted, and with what was abrogated and then removed, and with the seven ahruf that are not recited now? And is the remaining Quran what Allah approved for us in the Final Review, and what did not reach us is from the category of the abrogated?

The Quran is the word of Allah, brought down by Gabriel to Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Ummah has unanimously agreed that all the qira'at (readings) are transmitted from Allah Almighty. The abrogated part of Allah Almighty's speech was revealed to His Messenger, then abrogated whenever He willed. What was not abrogated from the Quran has been preserved in the Final Review. As for the seven ahruf (dialects/modes of recitation), the Quran was revealed with them from Allah Almighty as a facilitation and ease for the Ummah. Scholars have differed regarding the persistence of the seven ahruf in the qira'at, considering whether the Uthmanic masaḥif (codices) unified the people on one harf and the remaining ahruf became extinct, or that the masaḥif were written in one harf but could accommodate the remaining ahruf due to their lack of diacritical marks and vocalization, or that the Uthmanic masaḥif encompassed all seven ahruf. The second opinion is that which the majority of scholars adhere to.
