A woman must cover her face from non- men. If she believes this is obligatory, then she is not permitted to obey her father in abandoning it, for obedience to parents is not in acts of disobedience [to Allah]. It is incorrect to link wearing the niqab to exposure to doubts (shubuhat), because that opens the door to questioning all other religious obligations and beliefs. What is legally preferable is to avoid listening to doubts.
