Can religion be more lenient and not allow the wife to put the husband in a fait accompli situation?

The religion of Allah is ease, and its rulings are mercy and wisdom. Among the characteristics of Sharia is to facilitate matters for those who are legally responsible and to remove hardship from them. Procreation is a shared right of both spouses; neither of them has the right to prevent the other from it without a valid excuse. This is a just ruling, consistent with sound human nature and a correct intellect.
