Am I obligated to marry despite my father's request that I do not, knowing that I am 30 years old?

If a father completely forbids his son from marrying, his obedience is not obligatory if the son fears falling into sin, because there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. However, if he forbids him from marrying a specific woman and chooses another for him, it is advisable to obey him if the woman he chose is religious and of good character, and the son's soul does not reject her. And if the son chooses a woman who is religious and of good character, and the father prevents him from her, his obedience is not obligatory in that matter, but he must be dutiful and kind to him, and it is better to try to marry without his knowledge to pave the way and appease him.
