The answer

If parents prevent their child from marrying a specific woman without a valid reason, the child is not obligated to obey them, nor is he considered disobedient or rebellious by opposing them. Opposing parents in the choice of a spouse becomes unlawful if they have a religious opinion warning against it. However, if their opinion is for a personal interest or another purpose, and the marriage involves compatibility and righteousness, there is no unlawfulness in the opposition. The child must honor his parents, be good to them, and not mistreat them.
