What are the areas of deficiency in prayer according to the Maliki school of thought?

The Malikis shorten the four-rak'ah prayers (Dhuhr, Asr, Isha) during travel if the following conditions are met: covering a distance of 83 km (four burds), intending to cover the distance in one go, passing beyond the houses of the city, the journey being permissible, not changing from a short distance to a long one without an excuse, and not praying behind a resident who caught up with him for one rak'ah or more.
